It's fantastic to see the global program - initiated by HSBC's Stuart Gulliver in 2013 to increase the representation of woman at senior leadership levels - continue through 2024 with HSBC’s naming Pam Kaur as their new CFO.

In 2013, it was wonderful working with Alison Barto, [then] HSBC’s Chief Procurement Officer, to design, develop and implement (w/ Liz Ledger & Dave Tinsley) the “Live Learn Lead” leadership program. This was the implementation of Alison's vision to increase representation of women at senior leadership levels across all four of HSBC’s global procurement regions.

Long may the words of Stuart Gulliver provoke inspiration - "To discriminate against women is to discriminate against talent. It's unfair. It's wrong. And it's a really poor business decision. May the actions of Alison Barto continue to encourage others to make a difference by enhancing organizational effectiveness through diversity/inclusion/acceptance and by her exemplary leadership.

Special thanks to The Guardian UK for refreshing my memory! https://lnkd.in/guxqj9md and to Reuters News Agency for reporting on Pam Kaur’s new role https://lnkd.in/gDuF2a2Z and my gratitude for the photo goes to https://lnkd.in/gmeXc3zU ...and finally special thanks to Martin Street for the initial opportunity to partner with HSBC - back in the day!
